Candice Kramer has been announced as the winner of the Lizamore Mentorship Prize at the 31st Thami Mnyele Art Award. Kramer was selected out of the top six winners of this prestigious award with her triptych, Reflection.
Through the Lizamore Mentorship Prize, the gallery facilitates a mentorship between the winner of the prize and an established artist. This mentorship results in a solo exhibition with the gallery at the end of the year-long programme.
The previous winner of the Lizamore Mentorship Prize at the Thami Mnyele Art Award, Manyatsa Monyamane is currently being mentored by Senzeni Marasela. Monyamane will have her exhibition with the gallery in February 2019.
