2019 Thami Mnyele Fine Arts Awards Information Briefing Sessions
The SRAC Department of the City of Ekurhuleni’s Visual Arts Section would like to call Artists who are 18 years to attend 2019 Thami Mnyele Fine Arts Awards Briefing Sessions.
The Thami Mnyele Fine Arts Awards (TMFAA) is a contemporary fine arts completion which seeks to inspire the passion that the late acclaimed resistance artist Thami Mnyele had for art. The Competition stands out as one of the most unique competition in the South African soil. The rules are open to any kind of media and limitless scale; this allows various forms of artistic oeuvre to be unearthed. The entered artworks are from a plethora of young and professional’s artists. This competition is free from the traditional rules of galleries and museums system, as it generates a different kind of approach in its flexible approach. Over the years the artworks selected by the adjudication panel has improved in quality and aesthetic value.
These sessions aim to give artists the opportunity to gain much needed technical information regarding format, size, media and layout of works, as well as give advice regarding the presentation of competition standard work.
